With talks of an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte resurfacing in the media, Malacañang stressed that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will spare no one in his quest to unearth the truth, including the second-highest government official.
This, as Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro reiterated the President’s firm directive to treat the refiling of an impeachment complaint against Duterte akin to the government’s thorough investigation on ‘ghost’ and anomalous flood control projects.
In response to media queries at a press briefing on Monday, Castro declared that President Marcos Jr. remains unfazed about the noise generated by the opposition and the administration’s critics, vowing to continue his work against all odds.
Malacañang mouthpiece cited the intentions of President Marcos Jr. as one with the masses’ call for greater transparency and accountability within the upper echelons of the government.
Castro concluded her remarks by urging witnesses not to fall for the ‘trap’ laid by those who oppose the administration, reminding them of the indispensable value of the truthful information and knowledge that they possess—crucial in bringing about meaningful change to the nation.
