Most parts of PH to experience isolated rain showers Saturday

MANILA — Most parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers on Saturday, the state weather bureau said.

The Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley regions, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to Tropical Storm Florita, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“Florita”, last eyed at 775 km. east of Basco, Batanes, has maximum sustained winds of 75 km. per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 90 km. per hour, heading northwest at 8 km. per hour, said PAGASA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
