Pasay COVID-19 cases increases 8 times vs past month

Pasay City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) said on Saturday (Aug. 29) that the COVID-19 cases in the city have increased eight (8) times compared to the previous month.

From 318 total cases in July, the recorded number of cases from Aug. 1 to 28 spiked to 2,411.

As of Aug. 29, there are 17,341 total confirmed cases in Pasay City, 15,966 recoveries, and 444 fatalities.

Meanwhile, Pasay City General Hospital reopens its Obstetrics and Gynecology section for critical cases amid the spike of COVID-19 cases recorded in the hospital.

Obstetrics and Gynecology services were recently closed due to the significant number of medical officers who contracted COVID-19. – Report from PTV News / CF – bny
