Government workers are set to receive their 2025 year-end bonus that is equivalent to one month’s basic salary as well as a P5,000 cash gift starting this November, according to Malacañang.

In a press briefing on Tuesday, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the release of the bonuses in appreciation for government employees and their dedication to public service.

“Limampu’t isang araw bago mag-Pasko, may good news sa ating mga kawani ng gobyerno,” Castro said.

“Isa rin ito sa mga hakbang ng pamahalaan sa pagkilala sa pagsisikap at dedikasyon ng mga kawani ng gobyerno,” she added.

According to the DBM, a total of P63.69 billion has been allocated for the year-end bonus of civilian as well as military and uniformed personnel, while P9.24 billion was allocated for the cash gift, covering over 1.85 million government employees.

DBM Sec. Amenah Pangandaman said that both the year-end bonus and cash gift would be released with the first agency payroll of November 2025, pursuant to Budget Circular No. 2024-3.

Under DBM rules, employees who have rendered at least four months of service from Jan. 1 and remain in government service as of Oct. 31 are qualified to receive the benefits.

“The DBM is one with the President in ensuring that our public servants feel the warmth of our Bagong Pilipinas. Pinapahalagahan po natin ang sipag at kahusayan ng ating mga lingkod-bayan kaya naman, sinisiguro nating maibibigay sa tamang oras ang kanilang mga benepisyo,” Pangandaman said in a news release.
