President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on registered Filipino voters to exercise their right to vote for the next leaders of the country as the 2025 midterm polls begin Monday.
In a video message released Sunday, the President underscored the importance of the national and local elections, as it provide Filipinos with the opportunity to make their voices heard.
Marcos also urged the public to vote wisely—choosing leaders with integrity, competence, and compassion.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive asked candidates to join the government’s goal of ensuring peaceful, orderly, and fair elections.
Based on data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), there are about 68,431,965 registered Filipino voters as of January 2025.
Among the schemes introduced by Comelec in its bid to bring convenience among the voting population are the early voting hours for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women, mall voting, and internet voting for Filipinos abroad.
