PCG all set for TY Ulysses


The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is all set for the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses to achieve “Zero Maritime Incident” and do pre-emptive rescue operations.

Deployable response groups and search and rescue assets are now on standby in the National Capital Region (NCR), Central Luzon, Quezon Province at Bicol Region which are expected to be hit by the typhoon’s passage.

Coast Guard units unaffected by the cyclone have been instructed to coordinate with their respective PCG Auxiliary Squadrons to help gather relief goods yesterday.

Station Commanders in affected areas have also been deployed to monitor and prevent people from setting sail at sea. – Report by Karen Villanda
