All Filipinos who likely worked at the high-rise apartment complex hit by a deadly fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong, are all safe and accounted for, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong said Tuesday.

According to an advisory, “The Consulate General has confirmed that of all the Filipino nationals concerned, 92 are safe and accounted for and one is injured and remains hospitalized.”

The last two overseas Filipino workers listed for verification were found to be already in the Philippines when the fire broke out, it added.

Earlier, the consulate confirmed that one Filipino domestic worker, identified as Maryan Pascual Esteban, perished from the inferno.

Esteban, who leaves behind a 10-year-old son in Cainta, Rizal, was reportedly scheduled to return to the Philippines for Christmas when the fire broke out.

The blaze, the deadliest in Hong Kong in decades, resulted in 146 dead and dozens still missing.(PNA)
