Advancing the vision of a smarter and more digitally connected “Bagong Pilipinas,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launch of the VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) Data Center in Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, Laguna on Wednesday.

Dubbed the biggest and first-ever artificial intelligence (AI)-ready facility in the country, the VSR Data Center is a purpose-built, 50-megawatt hyperscale facility designed to support advanced computing needs, such as cloud services, high-performance enterprise systems, and AI-driven technologies.

The VSR is also strategically connected to subsea cable networks across Asia, the United States, and Europe—making the Philippines a key digital gateway to the world.

“The launch of this landmark ICT infrastructure is also a testament to the people-centered future we are building—a Philippines where technology and human connection go hand in hand and exist seamlessly,” the President said. “This technological development is an investment on the future of every Filipino.”

Marcos also highlighted the government’s job to foster a learning environment to equip the workforce with the necessary skills and experience in order to thrive in the digital economy.

“This technological infrastructure strengthens connection, not just digitally. It ensures that innovation fosters connection, brings opportunities, and uplifts lives,” he said.

The Chief Executive, likewise, assured that the administration would continue to pursue initiatives aimed at improving digital infrastructure and encouraging more investments in the country’s tech potential.

“The inauguration of VSR signals the country’s readiness to attract the world’s largest technology companies and showcase our regional competitiveness in the digital space,” Marcos said.

“To our visionary investors, I invite you to come explore the potential of Filipino ingenuity. Bring your technology here! Let us shape that digital economy together—with the Filipino being your greatest asset!” he added.
