Ph, Vietnam talk on peace, security in SCS

The Philippines and Vietnam assured they will continue to push for peace, security, and order at the South China Sea in a phone conversation on Tuesday.

President Rodrigo Duterte and Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc agreed to preserve a peaceful resolution on any issue regarding the disputed territories.

Since Vietnam is currently the Chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), President Duterte assured the continuous support of the Philippines on the measures of ASEAN.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister also lauded the Philippines for its active participation in the association.
