PhilHealth releases guidelines for COVID-19 cases

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has released its guidelines for patients under investigation (PUI) or people positive with COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019).

According to Circular Number 2020-0004 signed by PhilHealth Chief Executive Officer Ricardo Morales, there are certain packages for patients with COVID-19 such as the Isolation package which costs P14,000, the referral package at P4,000.

The isolation package is offered to people confirmed with COVID-19, while the referral package is offered for the facilities given to a PUI.

The packages also include benefits in line with adult respiratory distress syndrome, pneumonia and sepsis.
