PNP Chief Gamboa, 7 others survive helicopter crash

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Archie Gamboa, along with 7 other PNP officers, has survived a helicopter crash Thursday morning in San Pedro, Laguna.

The PNP Chief was en route an impounding area of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) when their helicopter- a Bell 429- accidentally hit a high tension wire that caused the crash.

The responding HPG personnel and medical staff have rushed the victims to the nearest hospitals while the fire truck on standby controlled the fire.

PNP Chief Gen. Gamboa has been brought to West Lake Hospital while his companions were brought to South Woods Hospital.
