PNP Chief Sinas positive with COVID-19, Eleazar takes over as OIC

Deputy Chief for Administration Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar has been designated as Officer-In-Charge of the Philippine National Police (PNP) after Police Chief Debold Sinas tested positive with COVID-19.

PNP Spokesman Ildebrandi Usana explained that in accordance with protocol Lt. Gen. Eleazar will run the whole police force while Gen. Sinas is recuperating from the disease.

Gen. Sinas has immediately underwent isolation after confirming the result of his RT-PCR test.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Eleazar called on the ranks to comply with the more stringent health protocols. – Denevin Macaranas
