PNP grateful for UNHRC’s resolution

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is grateful for the passing of resolution by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) wherein the Philippines will not be investigated regarding the alleged human rights violation in the country.

According to PNP Spokesperson Police Colonel Ysmael Yu, the UNHRC’s action is an acknowledgment of the country’s initiatives in response to the allegations of human rights abuses.

He added that “this intention of the Human Rights Council is not a celebration for the PNP but a point to ponder on some issues to undertake.”
The PNP Spokesperson has assured that the UNHRC’s support on the implementation of Human Rights Commitment in the country “will further strengthen the PNP’s firm commitment to uphold the rule of law.”
