PNP offers camps as vax sites for ages 12 to 17

The Philippine National Police (PNP) offered some of its camps as vaccination sites for ages 12 to 17 years old amid the government’s preparation for the adolescents’ COVID-19 vaccination.

According to PNP Chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar in a video message on Saturday (Sep. 18), he ordered Administrative Support for COVID-19 Task Force Head Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Vruz to start listing the names of the police officers’ children or dependents that are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.

He said that this system will greatly help in decongesting the vaccination sites nationwide.

“This will be in preparation for the expansion of the government’s vaccination program for minors in order to have as many Filipinos protected from the COVID-19.”

In relation to this, the national police recorded a total of 131,000 officers who are fully vaccinated while 80,000 have received their first dose.
