PNP remains faithful in putting an end to illegal drugs

Amidst the Ninja cops controversy, the Philippine National Police is steadfast in its commitment against narco-crimes. PNP Chief General Oscar Albayalde iterates that the PNP remains faithful in fulfilling its mandate to put an end to the drug epidemic in the country, and is confident that the police will be able to clear the organization’s name and the “Agaw-bato” scheme of certain rogue cops. While the PNP understands that it is the President’s prerogative to divulge the names of over 700 cops allegedly involved in illegal drug transactions, the institution appeals that due process be observed in dealing with the scalawags in uniform. Internal cleansing remains a priority of the PNP until all crooked cops are rooted out of the force for good.
