Police arrest 2 most wanted in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY — The police have arrested two most wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations in Region 9, a top police official announced Wednesday.

Chief Supt. Billy Beltran, Police Regional Office (PRO 9), identified them as Manuel Azucenas, 36, and Aratok Abbas, 35, who were arrested one after the other.

Beltran said Azucenas was arrested at around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Goleo, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Beltran said Azucenas is the number two most wanted person in Dipolog City, the capital of the province of Zamboanga del Norte.

He said Azucenas, a resident of Barangay Lugdungan, Dipolog City, has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no bail recommended.

He said Abbas was arrested at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Poblacion, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.

He said Abbas, a resident of Barangay Sinusayan, Malangas, is listed as the number one most wanted person in the municipality.

Abbas has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of robbery with homicide with no bailbond recommended.
