Police nab ‘wanted’ militiaman in Zambo Sibugay

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Police have arrested a militiaman tagged as one of the most wanted persons in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, an official said Friday.

Insp. Joven De Guzman Jr., Malangas police chief, identified the arrested militiaman as Sahak Mamaruba Pindo, 44, who is listed as the “Top 9 Most Wanted Person” of the town.

De Guzman said Pindo was arrested in a manhunt operation around 9 a.m. Thursday in Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Poblacion, Malangas.

He said Pindo has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of arson, with PHP200,000 recommended bail, issued by the court in San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He said the arrested militiaman is now under the temporary custody of the Malangas police for necessary documentation, pending a court order for his final detention place. (Teofilo Garcia, Jr/PNA)
