Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is leaving the country for a 5-day official visit to Russia upon the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Chief Executive seeks to build a robust and comprehensive bilateral relations with his Russian counterpart. Both heads of state will witness the signing of several agreements on culture, health and basic research among others. Also included in the President’s itinerary is his historic speech as the first ever Filipino president to join the Valdai Forum, Pres. Putin’s thinktank. The visit will conclude with a meeting with the Filipino community in Russia.
