President Rodrigo R. Duterte announced Thursday that China will donate more vaccines against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) to the Philippines. In his speech in the inauguration of school buildings in Valenzuela and Bulacan, the Chief Executive revealed that China will provide 400,000 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccine aside from the initial 600,000 it gave making a total donation of 1 million.

Vaccine Czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. disclosed that the next donation will “most likely” be Sinovac vaccines.
