PRRD enjoins public to participate in women empowerment

President Rodrigo Duterte in a pre-recorded speech honored the massive contribution of women in nation-building and upholding of equality in line with the celebration of Women’s Month.

“This is why we are working relentlessly to ensure that women have equal access to education, economic opportunities, healthcare and social services, and growth opportunities,” the president highlighted.

“But the work is far from over. Thus, I urge our people to participate in advocacies and activities that promote women empowerment,” he encouraged.

He also called for cooperation in addressing the needs of women and unity in honoring the role of women. His speech guaranteeing measures of the government for the welfare of women was aired during the kickoff ceremony of the National Women’s Month led by Philippine Commission on Women. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
