Rainshowers to prevail over PH Saturday: PAGASA

MANILA — Rainshowers will prevail over the entire archipelago due to various weather systems affecting the country, the state weather bureau said Saturday morning.

The tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern part of southern Luzon will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers over Calabarzon, Bicol, Aurora and Mindoro, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The northeast monsoon affecting northern and central Luzon, on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over Metro Manila, Cordillera, Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

Caraga, Davao, northern Mindanao and Soccsksargen will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a low-pressure area affecting southern Mindanao.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will prevail over Luzon and eastern Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
