Complaints have been filed against a cop for allegedly raping a woman inside a police station in Bulacan.
The suspect is identified as PLt. Jimmy Fegcan assigned at the San Miguel Police Station. Reports show that a woman was apprehended by cops last Wednesday at 2 a.m. for violating the curfew ordinance of the province. She was then brought to the station for profiling.
Fegcan let the woman rest in his barracks where the alleged raping incident took place. The victim was brought home by the suspect.
“Immediately, ang kanyang chief of police na si PLtCol. Voltaire Rivera ay naggawa ng kaukulang aksyon at ito’y ni-restrict (His chief of police PLtCol. Voltaire Rivera has immediately made appropriate actions and [the suspect] has been restricted),” PRO-3 Reg. Dir. PBGen. Valeriano De Leon stated.
De Leon has already ordered to relieve the cop of his duty and is currently under restrictive custody of the San Miguel Police. The suspect is facing charges for violating RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law).
“Actually, mag-conduct na ang IAS Bulacan ng pre-charge investigation today kasi kumpleto na ang complaint at supporting documents (IAS Bulacan will conduct a pre-charge investigation today since the complaint and supporting documents are complete),” PNP IAS Insp. Gen. Alfegar Triambulo said.
“Kung ito’y nagawa niya out of whatever state of mind, siya ay nananagot at papatawan natin ito ng maximum penalty (If he committed this out of whatever state of mind, he will be meted with maximum penalty),” De Leon assured. – Report from Bea Bernardo
