Repatriation of OFW remains in Saudi Arabia postponed until July 20

The repatriation of the remains of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Saudi Arabia is postponed until July 20.

According to the issued advisory of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the postponement aims to repatriate more remains of OFWs. 49 bodies have already been brought back to the Philippines on July 10. 20 of those who died succumbed to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) while 29 deaths were due to natural causes. 274 OFWs have perished in Saudi Arabia. – PTV News
