Sample helmet models for back-riding released

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has released samples of helmets that must be worn by motorcycle drivers and their passengers while the National Capital Region (NCR) is placed under general community quarantine (GCQ).

National Task Force Against COVID-19 said such helmets must have a full-face visor which should reach the chin.

Guidelines for motorcycle riding also include wearing of face masks by drivers and their passenger throughout the trip.

The MMDA announced in its Facebook page last August 19 that the NTF has approved motorcycle back-riding without barriers for people living under the same roof. Motorists with different residences are required to use IATF-approved barriers. – Report from Karen Villanda
