San Juan declares June 30 non-working day

By Katrina Gracia Consebido

San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora declared on June 30 as a special non-working day for the inauguration of president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“It is hereby declared that June 30, 2022, Thursday, is a special non-working holiday within the City of San Juan,” the declaration read.

Through Executive Order No. FMZ-125, the declaration was to “help lessen inconveniences” due to road closures and possible protest actions during Marcos’ inauguration.

Zamora also instructed Task Force Disiplina, the Philippine National Police, and other law enforcement officers to “strictly adopt” and “implement security measures” in the city. – gb
