KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato — Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Sunday renewed the commitment of President Rodrigo Duterte that all provinces and cities in the country will have equal share of opportunities, especially in Mindanao, which has been neglected for many years.
Go made the assurance during the 104th founding anniversary of the North Cotabato province and the opening of the Kalivungan Festival held at The Basket in Amas, here.
Go assured Cotabateños that no one will be left out in Mindanao in terms of development under the administration of President Duterte.
“Ang North Cotabato dili mabitin. Ang Mindanao sa una layo ta sa development (North Cotabato will not be left out. In the past, Mindanao was behind in terms of development),” he said in his speech during the program.
In Mindanao, the President, he said, is pushing for the construction of the Mindanao Railway System to facilitate movement of goods and provide a seamless transportation.
The administration, he added, is also boosting the micro, small, and medium and enterprises (MSMEs) to help propel the country’s economic growth.
Go rallied Cotabateños to continue supporting the three-point campaign of the President — war against illegal drugs, corruption and criminality.
Go, who described himself as someone who brings bad and good news from the President, said many members of the Duterte administration have been sacked or removed from office because of alleged corruption.
He said it also pains him to see friends go, especially those who helped the Duterte presidency.
The administration, he said, is also working hard to eliminate illegal drugs and criminality to make a peaceful and safe environment for Filipinos.
He also lauded Cotabato on its anniversary and the holding of Kalivungan Festival for it symbolizes unity in showcasing cultural traditions.
Among the activities include the “market, market,” which provides a platform for farmers to sell their products.
Go added that Kalivungan, which means a gathering of people from different tribal communities, is also a showcase of the rich culture of Cotabato and its agriculture. (PNA)
