Scattered rains continue over parts of PH

Many areas in the country will continue to experience rains due to the shear line and the easterlies, the weather bureau said Friday, Dec. 2.

The shear line will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Camarines Norte, and the northern portion of Quezon.

The same weather condition will prevail over the Eastern Visayas, Davao, and Caraga regions, and the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, and Palawan due to the easterlies.

These areas may experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, rough to very rough seas are forecast over the seaboards of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and mainland Cagayan.

PAGASA advised fishing boats and other small vessels not to venture into the sea, while larger vessels are alerted against big waves.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected over the eastern section of Luzon, the Visayas, Palawan, and the rest of northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
