Sen. Go appeals for aid to arts and culture industry

Senator Bong Go has appealed to aid workers in the arts and culture industry.

According to the lawmaker, the arts and culture sector is one of the industries gravely affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. He added that the workers must be given an opportunity since social gatherings and public events are not allowed.

Sen. Go suggested to give aid using the National Endowment Fund for Culture and the Arts of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).The NCCA initially stated that they will prioritize workers with no employer-employee relationship, freelancers, and those who do not have a regular income. – PTV News
