UNICEF supports PH face-to-face learning dry run

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) expressed its support for the Philippines’ face-to-face learning dry run in January 2021.

According to the UNICEF, in-person classes will greatly help the students especially those without internet connection and with parents who cannot teach their children at home.

The international institution added that despite the threat brought about by the pandemic on the opening of schools, transmission can be prevented by implementing infection prevention and control measures. The organization is also prepared to provide technical assistance, supplies, and learning resources for teachers, students, and parents of the country.

Moreover, UNICEF is encouraging the Philippine government to include teachers in the priority list of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination. –PTV News
