Advisory on the Explosions in Beirut

Beirut, 04 August 2020, 9:30 PM – Two explosions have occurred in the Port of Beirut on 04 August 2020 at approximately 6:10 pm, leaving many dead and dozens injured, as well as causing widespread damage throughout the city. Lebanese authorities are still investigating the cause of the explosions.

The Philippine Embassy is in touch with the Filipino community in Lebanon to assess the situation and provide assistance to any injured Filipinos. So far, 2 fatalities and 6 injuries have been confirmed by the Embassy.
