Warm, humid weather to prevail across PH on Oct. 19

MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience warm and humid weather, with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, a weather forecaster said on Tuesday, Oct. 19.

“Generally fair weather will prevail, except for Batanes and Babuyan Islands that will experience isolated light rains due to the northeasterly surface wind flow affecting extreme northern Luzon,” Chris Perez of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said, but noted that this has no significant impact.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the rest of Luzon would have warm and humid weather. Some rains may be experienced due to localized thunderstorms.

“Warm and humid weather will also prevail over the Visayas and Mindanao. Isolated thunderstorms are likely, especially in the afternoon. Bring an umbrella to protect yourselves from sunlight and from rain showers,” Perez added.

Gale warning is still in effect over the seaboards of Northern Luzon.

Perez advised avoiding venturing out to the sea as much as possible, especially for those using small seacrafts.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail over the rest of the archipelago. (PNA) – bny
