One senior citizen died after a wall collapsed in Barangay Mapulang Lupa in Valenzuela amid continuous rains on Sunday, Sept. 3.

The senior citizen sustained injuries, with scars and fractures on different parts of the body.

Eight houses were destroyed while 27 families or over a hundred individuals were affected by the collapse.

Based on the initial investigation by the authorities, the rains saturated the oil, causing the wall to collapse.

The site has since been closed to the public.

The affected residents are currently staying inside an evacuation center. GB/Bien Manalo
