Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Honors its Stakeholders in Region XI

The 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for BSP Stakeholders in Region XI was held at the BSP Davao Regional Office, Davao City on 12 September 2017.

Monetary Board Member Antonio S. Abacan, Jr. led the said event.

Southern Bee Foods Corporation was chosen as the Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms while Davao Central Chemical Corporation was recognized as the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms for the Business Expectations Survey in Region XI.

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)-Region XI was recognized as Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Developments in the Philippines for the third consecutive year and received the Gold Hall of Fame Award.

The Outstanding Credit Surety Fund (CSF) was given to the Davao del Norte Credit Surety Fund.

Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation was given the award for Outstanding Regional Partner in Currency Programs for Clean Note Policy.

Finally, the award for Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaign was conferred to the University of Mindanao.

Each awardee was presented the “Dynamic Balance, Philippine Eagle” trophy while the Gold Hall of Fame awardee received the “Soaring to Greater Heights” trophy, both of which were crafted by visual artist and multi-awarded sculptor, Mr. Ferdinand Cacnio.

This event attests to the successful partnerships that have helped the BSP maintain price and financial stability and ensure an efficient payments and settlement system.

Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier commended during the awards ceremony at the BSP Main Complex, Manila on 11 July 2017. The annual stakeholders’ awards in Region XI is the ninth in a series of 12 regional stakeholders’ events for this year. (BSP-PR)
