ZAMBOANGA CITY — The Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula) has a new Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) and Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO) following the retirement and reassignment last month of its two senior officers.

The new DRDA is Col. Ronaldo Llanera and the DRDO is Col. John Guyguyon, said Maj. Helen Galvez, PRO-9 information officer.

Galvez said Llanera, a native of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, assumed office as the new DRDA on April 20 replacing Brig. Gen. Edwin De Ocampo, who retired from service on the same date.

Llanera was the DRDO and Regional Chief Directorial Staff of the PRO-3 from 2016-2019.

Other earlier assignments of Llanera include PRO-11 (Davao Region) Regional Chief of Operations, Chief Regional Community Affairs Development Division and Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office director.

Llanera is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy’s (PNPA) Tagapagtaguyod Class of 1988. He is a classmate of Col. Narciso Verdadero, the former DRDO of PRO-9.
Guyguyon was installed as the new DRDO replacing Verdadero, who was reassigned to the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters.

Guyguyon, a native of Kiangan, Ifugao, is a member of PNPA Tagapagkalinga Class of 1991. He was previously the provincial director of Lanao del Sur Provincial Office during the Marawi siege and also became acting provincial director of the Zamboanga Del Sur Police Provincial Office.

He was the Chief of Staff and later on as Deputy Director for Operations of the PNP Aviation Security Group.

He was also assigned with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) as Chief of Anti-Transnational Crime Unit and held other various other positions.
