Palace: WPS Arbitral ruling to be asserted

In response to Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s statement questioning the Duterte Administration’s stand on the West Philippine Sea issue, the Palace clarified that the country still holds the rights to the WPS disputed territories based on the ruling of the International Court of Arbitration. Malacañang further insisted that the administration will continue to assert the Arbitral ruling in its continuing talks with China.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo further explained that the President has focused on finding resources in the area that will benefit the Filipino people whilst continuing the diplomatic and peaceful negotiations with China.
