GCTA-freed prisoners have until September 19 to surrender

Heinous crime convicts freed under the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law have 3 days remaining to surrender to authorities. DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra explained that failure to comply with Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s 15-day directive will subject them to warrantless arrest since this is tantamount to evasion of sentence.
