Eight barangays of the Municipality of Matanao, Davao del Sur solicit potable water following the destruction of water pipelines there by the recent 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Mindanao. The municipality, further, calls for additional assistance for its community. The aftermath of the quake in the area came in the shape of lost livelihood and more than 1,000 destroyed houses.
