BI forewarns aspiring OFWs against illegal recruiters on social media

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) advises every Filipino whom wishes to work abroad that he/she verify first the validity of the recruitment agency with which one transacts. Said validity can be determined by checking the accreditation of the agency on the Philippine Overseas Welfare Administration’s website. According to the government, most of the Filipinos obstructed in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport are those enlisted by syndicates on Facebook and other social networking sites.
