House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, the chairperson of the Philippine Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Organizing Committee, personally apologized to participating athletes in the 2019 SEA Games for the discomfort they have experienced in the form of delayed transportation and hotel accommodation. The Malacañan also expressed its apology on the same matter. In relation to the incident, the Century Park Hotel Manila explained about the inconvenience they caused to the athletes.
On a separate news, the restoration of the Rizal Memorial Coliseum has been completed. Said venue will house the gymnastic contest of said international sports event.
