Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Leonor Briones disclosed on Monday she tested negative for COVID-19 and will “remain in isolation for another seven days.”
Briones said Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III sent her a message earlier to inform her she is now negative for the virus.
The DepEd Chief has been in isolation since April 8 after her samples taken last April 2 tested positive for COVID-19.
Briones said she has tried traditional medicines and proper diet to boost her immune system.
She assured she “will continue to work hard” to “contribute to the measures for the immediate containment of COVID-19 in the country.”
Meanwhile, she said they are still waiting for the results of her family while 25 of her staff are undergoing tests. – Report from Mica Joson
