Preliminary investigation on Sen. Pimentel is scheduled for May 20

The preliminary investigation on the charge filed against Senator Koko Pimentel for violating safety protocols under the enhanced community quarantine is scheduled on May 20.

Senator Koko Pimentel violated the ECQ protocol by going to a grocery store and accompanying his pregnant wife to the hospital despite testing positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The charge filed by Attorney Rico Quicho against the senator is the violation of RA 113320 or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Disease and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act.

The Office of the Prosecutor served the subpoena to Senator Pimentel on April 14. – PTV News
