QC implements new guidelines on tricycle, pedicab, e-trike trips

New travel guidelines have been implemented for tricycle, pedicab, and e-trike trips in Quezon City to ensure the decrease the number of individuals going out of their homes.

An alternating or number coding scheme has been imposed in TODAs, PODAs, and e-trikes.

Tricycles are only allowed to take in one passenger with a fare of PhP 18 per special trip plus PhP 1 for the next kilometer while e-trikes are allowed to have two passengers.

Preventive measures such as a barrier between the driver and the passenger is required as well as a medical certificate of the driver from the health center. The City Administrator clarified that not all drivers are required to undergo testing. It depends on the recommendation of the health center. If they do not have symptoms, they are immediately given a certificate. – Report from Karen Villanda
