LTO starts pilot run of LTMS portal

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is encouraging its clients to file and finish transactions online to prevent overcrowding in its offices as the threat of COVID-19 remains.

The LTO has started its pilot run of the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) portal which can be accessed through portal.lto.gov.ph. The pilot run will last until July and is conducted in 24 LTO offices.

The portal covers transactions such as driver’s license application, revision of records request, certificate of no apprehension request, and vehicle registration. Resolution of traffic violations is also available while fines can be settled through online payment.
The LTO will give a courier service for the delivery of driver’s licenses.

The portal is a feature of the new normal routine in transacting with the agency to minimize physical transactions and hassles of going to LTO offices.

Meanwhile, the late renewal of licenses now has a 60-day grace period which begins on the lifting of ECQ.

LTO ASec. Edgar Galvante said late renewal or late transaction will not have any penalties.
