DOJ undergoes 10-day lockdown

The Department of Justice (DOJ) will be undergoing a 10-day lockdown after 3 personnel tested positive for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra issued a department order stating that the lockdown will last until June 29. The buildings to be temporarily closed are the DOJ Main Building, New NPS Building and the Annex Building of the department.

72 employees have tested positive in the rapid test conducted by the justice department while 3 confirmed positive in the PCR Tests.

The DOJ continues to coordinate with the DOH for contact tracing. “Work will continue to be done from home. Affidavits, motions, and other papers in connection with scheduled preliminary investigations conducted by state prosecutors will continue to be received at the frontline. Otherwise, the PI may just have to be reset.” Sec. Guevarra has assured.
