PDEA seizes P42-M worth of illegal drugs

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized a total of Php 42 million pesos worth of illegal drugs on Sunday, June 21.

The initial operation by the PDEA-Regional Office NCR was launched in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City. Arrested were 3 suspects in possession of Php 6.8 million worth of suspected shabu.

A follow-up operation was conducted in Novaliches, Quezon City where Php 8.8 million worth of drugs and drug paraphernalia were confiscated along with various weapons and explosives. 4 suspects were arrested in Novaliches who were identified as the suppliers of the initial 3 suspects in Brgy. Bagong Pag-asa.

The last operation was done in Malabon City where Php 27 million worth of suspected shabu was seized by the PDEA and the Northern Police District. A Chinese national suspect has also been arrested. The apprehended suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
