The Ninoy Aquino International Airport Task Force Against Trafficking (NAIATFAT) office and the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) offices at the NAIA Terminals 1, 2, and 3 is undergoing lockdown after 4 NAIATFAT personnel tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The office order issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ) indicated the lockdown has started on July 8 and will last until July 22. Authorities have also started contact tracing of people who had possible close contact with the four personnel. All NAIATFAT and IACAT staff have been ordered to undergo a 14-day self-quarantine and observe themselves for symptoms.
Meanwhile, the DOJ has assured that the monitoring of the IACAT for possible cases of trafficking will continue.
