Philippine National Police Chief, PGen Debold Sinas personally installed four (4) senior police officials to key positions in different levels of command.

In simultaneous turn-over rites today in Camp Crame, the PNP Chief formalized the designation of two (2) police generals and two (2) police colonels in Camp Crame-based units and offices.

Sinas named POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ILDEBRANDI USANA as PNP spokesperson and Chief of the PNP Public Information Office, a Personal Staff position that serves the function as mouthpiece and publicist of the PNP organization to effectively communicate PNP programs, policies, and plans to the public.

Usana, a member of the PNPA Tagapagtaguyod Class of 1988, was former Chief of the Human Rights Affairs Office (HRAO), and Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Police Regional Office 7 (Central Visayas).

POLICE COLONEL VINCENT CALANOGA replaced Usana as Chief of the PNP-HRAO in an acting capacity.

During the same ceremony, Sinas formally installed POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL RONALD LEE as Director of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), the frontline PNP operating unit in the national campaign against illegal drugs.

Sinas also installed POLICE COLONEL THOMAS FRIAS JR as the new acting director of the PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG), the lead PNP operating unit that provides the muscle in the implementation of the PNP internal cleansing program through intelligence build-up and law enforcement operations against PNP personnel involved in irregularities and illegal activities.

He expressed his gratitude to all incoming and outgoing police officials. “Thank you for your service and good luck with your new assignments,” he said.

“Let us all work together, especially on our campaign against illegal gambling, illegal drugs, and crimes. This is for the Filipino people,” Sinas said.
