Carmona LGU conducts simulation for COVID-19 vaccine roll-out, the first in Cavite

The Municipal Government of Carmona is the first in the Province Cavite to conduct a simulation for the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out on January 29, 2021, at the Carmona Community Center (C3), Barangay Cabilang Baybay.

The said location, which is the designated main COVID-19 vaccination site, is divided into six sections, namely: (1) waiting Area; (2) registration area; (3) pre-vaccination, counseling, and final consent area; (4) screening area; (5) vaccination area; and (6) post-vaccination monitoring area.

An Advocacy Center was also established at the C3, which is in-charge in the production and dissemination of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials that will promote the importance of COVID-19 vaccination to the community.

Aside from the Carmona Community Center, satellite locations will also be established in Barangay Bancal and Lantic.

A COVID-19 Data Management Unit located at the Katsumi Onda area, Carmona Municipal Hall was also set up by the Municipal Information Technology Unit for the collating and safekeeping of COVID-19 vaccine recipients’ information. Moreover, the Municipal Health Office had finished its preparation of the cold storage facility for COVID-19 vaccines, located within its premises.

The simulation activity was led by Municipal Mayor Roy Loyola, Congresswoman Dahlia Loyola, Vice Mayor Cesar Ines Jr., members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and the Municipal Health Office led by Dr. Homer Aguinaldo.

On January 28, 2021, the COVID-19 Vaccination Awareness Campaign officially kicked off in Carmona. More than 230 individuals from different sectors attended the program held at the Carmona Town Plaza and participated in Dr. Aguinaldo’s presentation of the Local Government’s COVID-19 Vaccination Long-Term Plan.

Both events strictly followed minimum public health standards.
