Statement from NLEX Corp. on incident at Blumentritt station

NLEX Corporation has received a report from its contractor of the NLEX Connector Road project of an accident that occurred around 4:50pm at the site in the vicinity of the Blumentritt Station.

The company is investigating the incident. Initial reports show that four workers were injured, and immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Three sustained minor injuries and were cleared eventually to go home. One worker who sustained the most injury is still at the hospital, currently undergoing tests and awaiting X-ray results. NLEX Corporation is extending all possible assistance to the workers. The company is committed to upholding safety standards on all its projects, and will be conducting a full investigation of the incident.
