Abra province under ECQ

By Alec Go

The province of Abra has been placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) for the first week of September due to prevent further COVID-19 transmission.

The province’s escalation to ECQ was through Executive Order AU-03 signed by Gov. Joy Bernos.

Based on the guidelines posted by the province, curfew hours will begin from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and drinking alcoholic beverages will not be allowed.

Individuals who will need to buy essential goods are required to bring their “white pass,” while those who are required to report to work must bring their company IDs.

The province also implemented a “no ride” and “no back riding” policy, while tricycles with protective barriers must only carry one passenger per trip. Private vehicles are only allowed 50% seating capacity.

Each barangay will only have one entry and one exit, and individuals entering the province shall undergo quarantine despite having a negative RT-PCR test result.

Only authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) will be allowed to enter and exit the province.

Dine-in services, social gatherings, and personal care services are prohibited, together with sports, tourism, and leisure activities. -rir
